Thank you for visiting! I’m Karli Flom, owner-operator of Curts & Acres Land Management ("Curts" comes from curtilage—a legal term for your yard).

As a veteran of the Iraq War, I’ve found peace in working the land. My mission is to help property owners rehabilitate neglected spaces, increase their land’s value, and create places they truly enjoy.

My land management journey began in 2014, when I purchased an acre overrun with ragweed, rotted trees, and standing water. Through years of research and hands-on work, I transformed it into a thriving landscape: installing a culvert and French drain creek bed, replacing invasive weeds with native grasses, and turning a mosquito haven into a pollinator paradise. Neighbors praised it a “park,” and before I could complete the duck pond, an investor made me an offer I couldn’t refuse.

Since then, I’ve continued investing in land and expanding my restoration efforts. Curts & Acres is where I bring that experience to others—helping you to reclaim your land and unlock its full potential.

About Me

FAQs

What services do you offer?

I restore vacant and neglected land using minimally invasive methods. I work on all sizes of land, including yards.

How is your approach different?

I am a sole-operator- no crews, just myself. This allows me to be more cost-effective, less-intrusive, flexible with scheduling, and offer a more personable experience. I use mostly electric equipment which is quieter and doesn't emit fumes. I can, however, use heavier equipment if necessary (skid steers, excavators, etc).

What is my experience with land?

I have over a decade of experience working with land to correct grading issues, weeds, plant-life, and wildlife. I'm currently studying to become a certified arborist.

I serve areas in Dakota, Scott, and LeSueur Counties.
